INTRODUCTION
You are a famous European Explorer from the Age of Exploration. You are at the end of your career now and want to create a journal/scrapbook about your life and travels as an explorer. This will tell the world what your discoveries were, what your travels were like, and how your exploration helped change the world.
TASK
Your task is to create a journal/scrapbook about the life and explorations of the European explorer you were assigned in class. This journal will cover the life of the explorer, a specific expedition he had, a map of his journeys, goods he might have traded, and the impact exploration had on the world.
PROCEDURE
The finished project can look as authentic and original as you want or it could be done using your iPad or a computer BUT no matter what, it must include ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
1. Bio/Reasons for Exploration
You must write a two-paragraphs that include information about you AND the reasons why European countries started exploring the world.
*Remember this will be included in your 'scrapbook' so write in 1st person!
2. Map
You must find or create a map that shows at least one route taken by your explorer on their journeys.
4. Goods/Columbian Exchange
You must find out what new goods MIGHT have been found by your explorer in the area that they explored AND what European goods your Explorer might have taken to the new lands with him. These might include food, materials, plants, animals, etc.

- 1st paragraph - biographical information about YOU! (where from, dates, career history, accomplishments, etc)
- 2nd paragraph - possible reasons you would set sail (cultural, economic, political, etc.)

- It must show where you began your journey and where it led to.

- at least 3 Native goods from the NEW WORLD (or Asia, depending on the explorer you are) & at least 3 goods from the OLD WORLD brought with you to trade.
- a description for each good from the perspective of your explorer (Describe NEW goods as if you have never seen them before. Describe OLD goods and how the Native Americans reacted to them.
- must have a picture for each good (drawn or printed)
